DDMFR.NET - Differential Diagnosis in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology Differential Diagnosis in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology needs a browser supporting frames. Authors K. Tsiklakis DDS, MSc, PhD Professor and Chairman, Oral Diagnosis and Radiology Department, School of Dentistry, University of Athens C. H. Stamatakis DDS, MSc, PhD Oral Diagnosis and Radiology Department, School of Dentistry, University of Athens K. Syriopoulos DDS, MSc, PhD Oral Radiology Department, ACTA, The Netherlands The DDMFR.NET project The aim of this site is to develop a complete dynamic educational tool in a form of an open internet resource featuring almost all pathological entities found in the radiographic examination of the maxillofacial region, with special focus on the differential diagnosis in oral and maxillofacial radiology. What does DDMFR.NET offer? DDMFR.NET is a multipurpose educational tool for the undergraduate and the postgraduate students, the educators and the professional dentists: It will help the undergraduate students to comprehend the basic principles of the classification of jaw lesions and further develop basic understanding and skills for differential diagnosis. It will help the postgraduate students to develop essential skills for differential diagnosis being able to expand their knowledge through case presentations of various complexity. It provides the educators reference and digital material for the teaching of differential diagnosis at different levels and the construction of Reusable Learning Objects. Dentists are offered a handy and always accessible resource on the classification of oral lesions, their radiographic appearance and features, and an assisting tool for the differential diagnosis of cases that they deal with at their practices. Finally, a search tool is implemented that helps to easily find references to specific keywords within the site.
